Rick Klenk

Rick Klenk was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2025. In this role, Klenk is responsible for the overall financial management function of the enterprise. He and his team are stewards for Penn Mutual’s financial strength and stability, maintain Penn Mutual’s highly competitive product portfolio, made possible through our financial strength, and provide financial and risk management oversight.

Klenk is an accomplished insurance leader with over 35 years of diverse risk management, actuarial and financial management experience across multiple business lines and organizations. Prior to his role as CFO, Klenk served as Chief Financial Officer for Life Insurance and Annuities for Penn Mutual, leading the financial strategy for our core business.

Klenk started his career with Penn Mutual as an actuary and has held leadership roles at Nationwide and Lincoln Financial Group, including Corporate Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer.

Klenk holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Lebanon Valley College. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
